Colorful Diningroom
  Bachelder Fireplace Center Stage

Color compels this room and creates drama. The warm burnt orange makes for a stimulating dining room, as the color is carried through in smaller quantities to continue the flow of the space. Soft lines of the architecture are repeated in the clean lines of the furniture creating a clean, sophisticated look.

The Bachelder fireplace takes center stage in this room. The paint is designed to draw out the colors of the tile and the rug. It is a neutral background that is warm, inviting and bold. The pieces are eclectic with an Asian influence complimenting the craftsman influences of the room.

Dramatic Bathroom

Layers of texture fill the room. Wood floors are complemented by soft cream walls and offset with dark stained molding. Fabrics are textured, including beaded pillows. The case goods also are layers of texture including a rattan coffee table and antique console table. The artwork is a punch of color in an otherwise neutral scheme, adding some eye candy to this modern Asian-influenced room.

Arts and Crafts Livingroom

Arts and Crafts Diningroom

In the photo above the shades of yellow on the ceiling and the walls allow the wood to show its beauty and reflect light back into the room. Touches of red bring out the red in the wood and add the dramatic touch that is needed in this elegant room. Touches of modernism add some contrast while the chairs echo the ceiling, taking a more modern translation of the style.

In the photo above the elegance of the table and architecture of the room are set off by a few bits of country in the roosters. The paint is perfectly accented by the draperies, making it a welcoming place to entertain and enjoy a meal.

Butterflies in the Closet

Paint can have such a dramatic affect on a room. It’s important to have some good flow from room to room as well. In this Arts and Crafts house it is important to accent the wood and make it shine. By using colors that enhance the wood, it makes the rooms look bigger and brighter.

This closet window needed special requirements of light and privacy and a design as unique as the client. Fabric window treatments would have been cumbersome for this small of a space, but this unique stained glass treatment allows light in while providing privacy at the same time. The touches of color tie into the bedroom and the butterflies add unexpected elegance and whimsy.

  Charming Bathroom
Arts & Crafts Bathroom

Just because you have an old house doesn’t mean you can’t have all the comforts of a modern bath. Natural light, rain shower with plenty of room to move in and yet it still provides an antique tub to soak in and relax. One can enjoy the feel of the past as well as the present.

   Colorful Fireplace
India Inspired Bedroom

A little color goes a long way –
We added some color to this fireplace and made the room come alive. It accents the colors in plates and the furniture. It makes that wall a focal point and pulls people into the room inviting them to sit down and enjoy its treasures.

This room is inspired by a recent trip to India. The use of silks and sheers adds elegance and texture to the clean lines of the furniture, and add a touch of femininity to an otherwise masculine room. The rich colors echo the adventures they enjoyed in India and give the room a more romantic feeling.

Dining Nook
  Kitchen Details

Is this house on the cape or perhaps a farmhouse in France? It’s a cozy, inviting nook that welcomes you and is a happy place to start the day at breakfast or take a peaceful break at lunch.

Custom distressed finishes on the cabinets give this kitchen a rustic elegance. Natural tile in a quilted pattern on the backsplash create an earthen hearth reminiscent of a forest cabin. This study in texture is finished with the addition of brushed nickel hardware.

  Bedroom Retreat   Window Detail

Arts and Crafts with a modern touch. Clean lines honor the structure of the house. The beautiful fabric has a stained glass affect and honors the arts and crafts style with a bit of a stylized flower. The room creates a serene getaway to relax and a cheery place to wake up in the morning with a cup of coffee.

  Elegant Livingroom
Hanging Pictures

This room has some wonderful architecture and was begging for just the right complements. The beautiful (hutch) is an elegant focal point and sets the mood for the room. A light buttery yellow paint color is the perfect accent to garden floral fabric on the sofas. This room expresses the owner’s love of her garden, bringing the outside in, creating a happy, inviting space.

Hanging pictures sometimes intimidates people; especially when there’s a lot. This room felt crowded before – by rearranging the pictures it allowed the client to display the generations of loved ones and have some room for the eye to rest and create a more comfortable space to live in.
